CMI's Oktobersbest Homebrew Competition Online Registration Now Open

Online Registration for the Cincinnati Malt Infusers Oktobersbest Zinzinnati Homebrew Competition is now open! Submit your entries, volunteer to judge or steward, or do both! We've got plenty of homebrewed fun! This year's Oktobersbest competition is being held at the historic Hoffner Lodge in Cincinnati's eclectic Northside Neighborhood. We're expecting another great year, with a competition record number of entries from all over the country. We will have a delicious lunch provided for all our judges and stewards. Stick around for our awards ceremony while you enjoy some great homebrew and camaraderie with other homebrewers from throughout the region while you see who won!

Northside Night Life: Enjoy craft beer, awesome burritos, and live music at the Comet (a stop on CMI's 13th annual pub crawl). Enjoy craft beer, "Chicago Dogs", the great patio and live entertainment at Mayday (another stop on CMI's 13th annual pub crawl). Or stop in at Northside Tavern for another great patio, craft beer and live music in an great venue.
Northside Dining: Want a bite to eat? Stop in and enjoy fine dining you don't have to dress up for at Northside restaurants such as Honey, Kosho, Melt, and Slim's, all at reasonable prices. Don't feel like fine dining? Northside has got you covered. Stop in at Park Chili to get yourself some Cincinnati style chili or a Phil Burger. Get yourself a slice of pizza heaven from Northslice Pizza. If you love music, it is also HIGHLY recommended you stop in at Shake It Records.
Accommodations: For those of you looking to judge or steward who would like to stay the night, there are accommodations close by to be had. Looking for something different? Enjoy the a stay at Six Acres Bed and Breakfast, located just barely outside of Northside in Cincinnati. More traditional accommodations are also close by at Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites. No word yet if any space is available at Cincinnati Malt Infuser and Northside resident, Mike O'Herron's place.
Other Great Activities: There is LOTS to do in Cincinnati this weekend. Bring the whole family and enjoy it all! Want to explore some of Cincinnati's great German Cultur e? Cincinnati Donauschwaben Society's Kirchweihfest which happens on the evening of Saturday, October 16th at 6:00pm. Check out Historic German Venues with great beer such as Grammer's or Mecklenburg Gardens. Make a trip to the Hofbräuhaus in Newport There is so much to do besides explore Cincinnati's German Heritage as well. Visit the world famous Cincinnati Zoo, the Cincinnati Musum Center (check out the exhibit on Cincinnati's Brewing history), Cincinnati's Freedom Center, the Cincinnati Art Museum, Historic Findlay Market, or the Newport Aquarium!
