Created by current CMI member Dave Dixon during the time he lived in Texas, this contest has evolved into one of the largest single site homebrew competitions in the United States. It is the first leg of the Lone Star Circuit of homebrew competitions.

The Bluebonnet Brew-off is both AHA and BJCP sanctioned as well as an MCAB Qualifying Event.
